When you call, I'll confirm your vehicle details and give you a battery price before I commit to coming out the £45 fitting charge plus the cost of the battery itself, confirmed upfront with no surprises when I arrive.

The fitting process includes removing the old battery, cleaning the terminals, fitting the replacement, and running a post-fit check to confirm the charging system is working correctly.

On some vehicles particularly BMWs, Mercedes, Audis, and other European makes the replacement battery needs to be registered to the vehicle's ECU.

Is it definitely the battery and not the alternator?

If your battery keeps going flat shortly after being jumped or charged, the alternator may not be charging it correctly. A new battery won't fix an alternator fault call me and I can test both before you commit to a replacement.

Do you know your battery type standard, AGM, or EFB?

It's usually printed on the battery label. AGM and EFB batteries are required on most stop-start vehicles. Fitting the wrong type can cause charging system faults. I'll confirm the correct type when you call just have your vehicle make, model, and year ready

Is your battery still under warranty?

Many batteries come with a 2–3 year warranty. If your battery is less than 3 years old and has failed, it may be worth checking whether it's still covered before paying for a replacement.

Is your vehicle a European make with battery registration?

BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Volkswagen, and some other European vehicles require the replacement battery to be registered to the ECU. Without this, the charging system won't calibrate correctly. I carry the diagnostic equipment to do this just mention it when you call.

Have you ordered before 14:00?

For same-day fitting, I need the order confirmed by 14:00. After that, next-day fitting is available. Call me to check availability for your area.

How much does a mobile car battery replacement cost?

The call-out and fitting charge starts from £45. The battery cost is additional and depends on your vehicle and which battery type it requires, standard, AGM, or EFB. I'll confirm the full price labour plus battery before I set off. No hidden fees.

How quickly can you get to me?

For same-day service, call before 14:00. I'll give you a realistic ETA based on my current location and workload. For next-day fitting, I'll confirm a morning or afternoon slot when you call

Do I need a membership?

No. There's no membership, no subscription, and no joining fee. You pay for the callout and the battery nothing else.

Can you replace the battery on a stop-start vehicle?

Yes. Stop-start vehicles require AGM or EFB batteries I carry the knowledge and equipment to supply the correct type and register it to the vehicle's energy management system where required

What do you do with the old battery?

I take it away and dispose of it responsibly through proper recycling channels. You don't need to worry about getting rid of it yourself.

My car battery is less than a year old why has it failed?

Early battery failure can be caused by a faulty alternator not charging it correctly, excessive short journeys that don't allow a full charge, or occasionally a manufacturing defect. I can test your charging system when I attend to help identify the cause.
